Our staff has years of experience navigating the Medicaid and public benefits systems and can help you understand all of your benefits and rights. As part of Pisgah Legal Services, they are also able to connect you to free legal help and other community resources.

Now that you’ve enrolled in Medicaid, you’ll be able to choose a health plan and doctor. If you are unhappy with your health plan, you can request to change to another plan.

If you are denied a service you need, you have the option to appeal (let them know that you disagree). The process to appeal may be different depending on the denial decision. Patients have the right to receive care and medicine even if they can’t pay the copay. Doctors and pharmacies are still required to provide the needed services or medications. If you are denied because you can’t pay the copay, contact us for help. Learn more here.
