Looming Eviction Crisis

The eviction moratorium is scheduled to end June 30th, 2021 and Pisgah Legal housing attorneys are gearing up for an onslaught of evictions. The HOPE Program has reopened applications for rental and utility assistance just in time to help renters pay back months of back rent. Many tenants got behind on their rent due to job losses and financial insecurity brought on by COVID 19. PLS attorney David Bartholomew recently spoke with WLOS News 13 about the looming crisis.
