Get Covered America Bus Tour Coming to Asheville

On Tuesday, February 3rd the Get Covered America’s (GCA) “Countdown to #GetCovered Tour” will be making a stop in Asheville from 10 am – 11 am at the Dr. Wesley Grant Southside Center at 285 Livingston Street.

During the seven-day bus tour through the Southeast, Enroll America President Anne Filipic will join staff, volunteers, elected officials, and other local and national partners in over 15 cities to talk about the need to get covered and stay covered before the February 15th deadline.

Beginning in Tennessee the week of Monday, February 2nd, the tour will hit the road to raise awareness of the February 15th deadline for open enrollment under the Affordable Care Act.

Each stop is meant to showcase enrollment resources in communities from Memphis to Miami so those remaining uninsured as well as those renewing their coverage can find free, local help to access the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Free, In-Person Help is Available with from 10:30am – 5pm at the Center
Pisgah Legal Services and other ACA Partners of WNC participating organizations will provide local residents free, objective health insurance information and enrollment assistance in the NC Health Insurance Marketplace throughout the day. These organizations include: Blue Ridge Community Health Services, Council on Aging of Buncombe County, Legal Aid of North Carolina, Mountain Projects, Inc., Western Carolina Medical Society and WNC Community Health Services.
