A Fair Giving Challenge for Henderson County
More than 13,000 people (nearly 12% of Henderson County’s population) live below the poverty line. When you’re already stretched thin, a legal problem can quickly become a crisis: a wrongful eviction, loss of income, or an unsafe home. Without a lawyer, many families simply have no way to protect their rights.
When a family can stay in their home because an attorney stands with them in court, or a survivor can secure safety for herself and her children with legal protection, our whole community is stronger. Together, we can keep Henderson County an equitable, just and caring place for all who live here.
Deborah and Ian Fair live in Henderson County and for years they’ve been committed to ensuring access to justice for all. The Fairs are partnering with Pisgah Legal Services to present “A Fair Challenge” to directly support free civil legal assistance in Henderson County. Deb and Ian will match, dollar-for-dollar, every donation up to $35,000 between now and April 15, 2026.
