• State Budget Targets Legal Aid

    The new State budget includes a provision that will effectively remove a critical funding source - IOLTA (Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts) - that has provided grants to legal aid nonprofits, like Pisgah Legal Services and Legal Aid of NC, for more than four decades. Our clients will pay the price.

Pat and Phil are Co-Chairs of the PLS Endowment Campaign. Phil is a retired attorney with The Van Winkle Law Firm, and Pat is the retired executive director of CFWNC.

Thalia Hoy

Thalia has been assisting clients who are immigrants through Pisgah Legal’s Justice for All Program for more than 21 years.

Carol Steen

Carol is a donor and Pisgah Legal Services Board Member. She serves as Vice President of HR, IT, and Security for Biltmore Farms.
