The Health Justice Program can help you get the facts and unbiased answers your questions.
Pisgah Legal Services is a local non-profit in our eighth year of offering enrollment assistance in the ACA health insurance marketplace. We are here to help you understand your options for affordable health insurance. Despite proposed changes to the law, the ACA is still here and coverage is still available for those who qualify.
Unsure if you are looking at good credible coverage? Here are some questions to ask when looking at health insurance plans:
- Can I be denied certain benefits because of preexisting conditions?
- Will I be asked any questions about my health status?
- Could that affect the price of my plan?
- Are there limits to how much my plan will pay for my care?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions, the plan is not a comprehensive plan protected by the ACA and you may be stuck with large medical bills. To be sure you get a quality health insurance plan go to www.healthcare.gov or make an appointment to meet with an enrollment assister at Pisgah Legal Services 828-210-3404
