PLS Saves Home for Mother and Daughter
Heather is a single mom who was determined to buy a home for herself
and her daughter Gabrielle. She scraped together every penny she had
and borrowed from friends to make a $20,000 down payment and enter into
a lease-to-own agreement on a dilapidated house. When the seller sued
her, making false accusations, Heather not only risked losing her home
but also her down payment and thousands of dollars of repairs she had
done herself. Pisgah Legal Services disputed the seller’s false claims
and got the lawsuit dropped, saving the home for Heather and Gabrielle.
