Qualifications:  N.C. licensed attorney or commitment to become licensed in N.C. promptly.  Spanish language skills would be an asset, as would experience in addressing problems associated with extreme poverty through the law.

Homeless Prevention Attorney

This attorney will handle cases in the state district courts. The attorney will handle Homeless Prevention Project (HPP) cases including landlord/tenant, consumer law, and expungements, among others in order to help clients obtain or maintain affordable housing. The attorney will also advocate with local leaders and others for policies that benefit the clients of Pisgah Legal Services, and provide outreach and education to the community.
